The “Conca d’Oro” farm of Alessandro Alessandrini has been handed down for four generations from father to son.

Since 1985 the farm has increased the production of Extra Virgin Olive Organic Oil, planting on about 50  hectares, over 13.000 olive trees of varieties: Leccino, Pendolino, Frantoio and Oliva Tenera Ascolana. The Extravirgin Olive Organic Oil obtained from these varieties are blended in a determined quantity to obtain a balanced flavour typical of local Piceno's Olive Oil, very important for a healthy Mediterranean diet.

The farm is located at altitude of 250 m, on the South-East side of the Marche region hinterland, situated in a strategic position for tourism 15 km from the ancient medieval town of Ascoli Piceno and 30 km from the beautiful seaside town of San Benedetto del Tronto, also known as the Riviera of the palms.

 

This particular geographical exposure guarantees a slow maturation of the Olives, very important to obtain a light and delicious Olive Oil. Special attention is aimed to the purity of the product cultivated in each aspect absolutely in organic way, which consist in to not use pesticides and chemical fertilization. For this reason fertilization is obtained by the remaining residuals of olive cultivation and residual during the production of olive oil, which are composted in order to get the natural and organic matter for the olive trees.

The moment of harvesting the Olives arrives only when the ripening is just right to get special  characteristics for the Olive Oil which will be produced. The picked olives, stored in special perforated bins for maximum 24 hours, are worked in our modern stone mill. The extracted olive oil will be in  stainless steel containers to preserve the purity, the taste and the typical flavor of Conca d’Oro  Organic Extravirgin Olive Oil, until its bottling.

Visiting the farm you can taste the Olive Oil as well as the local products of the Piceno territory in the surrounding green of the farm.Every year in October and November you can assist in the production of Olive Oil in the oil mill and  be present at the magic moment when the new Olive Oil is made. Also you can directly taste it just  after its production!

On the farm there is also the agritourism that offers to the guests calm and relaxing overnight stays  with a good breakfast and meals with tipical Piceno's products.
